Ministry of food processing in India is organizing a mega event World Food India 2017 3-5th November ‘2017 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. This event will be an international event which will bring Indian and Global leaders across food value chain on one platform. There will be number of B2B, G2Gand B2G meetings held apart from many seminars and stalls setup.

The three day extravaganza to be hosted in Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi from 3rd to 5th November 2017 will put India on the global map in the Food Processing Industry. It will be accompanied by exhibitions, sectoral seminars, country and state sessions. The World Food India event will provide the right opportunity for the farmers, FPOs etc to get linked to the processors.

Not only this, the gala event will provide a fantastic and vibrant opportunity for networking and collaborations with key domestic and international players in the food processing sector. Visitors can also relish the best of the international, national and fusion cuisines at the ‘Food Street’.

This initiative is a part of our Prime minister Shri Narender Modi “Make in India” program and includes supportive government policies to do conducive business in India. There is also a special fund of INR 2000 crores (US $300 million) created with NABARD for designated food parks and processing units in India. Food processing industries can avail preferential rates under priority lending. It is 100% FDI through automatic route in food processing. There are sub-sector opportunities lined up too in Technology, packaging material and R&D/Skill development based on local food habits.
