We have three awardees from Nigeria this year.  They will all be attending our 2022 15th Annual Conference in Madrid Spain Nov. 13-15th to accept their awards.

Funmi Ogbue, Managing Director, Zigma Limited www.zigmaltd.com

Funmi Ogbue is the Managing Director of Zigma Limited, a company she founded in 2002. Funmi was honored with the award of Women in Energy at the Nigeria International Energy Summit 2022 and recognized as the trailblazer in Energy Excellence Award Honoree 2022 by the Women in Maritime and Energy Advisory Council. Funmi was honored to be listed by NIPRO as one of the Global Top 40 under 40 female professionals in 2008. Funmi holds an M.Sc in Organizational Change (2014)& Development from the University of Manchester, and a B.Sc in Sociology from the University of Lagos (1992).

Funmi would like to expand to Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Mali, Egypt, Ethiopia and other African Nations.

 

Princess Funlayo Bakare-Okeowo, CEO, FAE Limited, www.fae.com.ng

Princess ‘Layo Oloruntoyin K. Bakare-Okeowo is the M/D and CEO of FAE Ltd, Nigeria’s largest envelope manufacturing company.  Her mother started the company in 1976 and ‘Layo has spent 40 years working in the company.  ‘Layo planned and implemented new envelope machine technology upgrades and strategic acquisitions to help expand the company’s production. The company is also currently manufacturing tamper proof/tear resistant security envelopes & radio frequency identification blocking envelopes to make it the leading envelope manufacturer in the country. Princess ‘Layo also intends to pioneer a functional paper mill. She is also involved with many Nigerian professional organizations including WIMBIZ.

The company currently does business in Germany, England, China, Chana, USA and Benin.  ‘Layo would like to approach all of the African nations.

 

Tara Fela-Durotoye, CEO, House of Tara International, www.houseoftara.com

Tara Fela-Durotoye is a Beauty Entrepreneur who pioneered the professional make up industry in Nigeria in the late 90’s. She is the founder and current C.E.O of House of Tara International which she established in 1998. She is considered a major force in the Nigerian female entrepreneurship community having created an impact business that has empowered tens of thousands of beauty entrepreneurs through the “Tara Beauty Entrepreneur” initiative. The company established the country’s first makeup studio and makeup school in 2004.  It has 26 branches, 14 makeup schools and 3 franchises nationwide today. “Pay It Forward” is a motto which they live by.

House of Tara is currently doing business in Ghana, Cote de Voir, Canada, United States & the UK.  Tara wishes to expand to several other African countries.
