Dr. Koven, Founder & CEO, Language Bird, was nominated by the Women Presidents Organization, an IWEC Affiliate Partner.
Dr. Koven is a life-long learner and career educator. She uses her passion and experience as a high school teacher, counselor, and administrator to create and lead innovative programs to change ways teachers teach and students learn on a global scale. Founded in 2015, LanguageBird provides accredited, live, one-to-one, personalized, online language instruction. Dr. Koven has created a virtual community where students gain a deeper understanding of language and culture and develop a broader world view. They offer 15 world languages and celebrate diversity, culture, travel and globalization and relationship building through their lessons, creating a memorable education experience in language learning.
LanguageBird has staff and students from 46 countries. The company would like to expand to include other countries in Europe and Central & South America.
Dr. Koven will receive her award at the 2023 IWEC Annual Conference being held this year in Turin Italy. She will join 35 other female awardees being recognized from all over the globe.
