Elizabeth Trallero (Barcelona, Spain) CEO, Congost Plastic, S.A.
Ms. Trallero, who has more than three decades of experience in the manufacturing industry, has been chief executive officer of Congost Plastic for the past 18 years. Congost Plastic, which is based in Barcelona, Spain, is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers, distributors and commercial vendors of industrial plastic. In her leadership role, Ms. Trallero oversees all daily operations, including business development, client relations and strategic planning. She also supervises a staff of 45 while serving as a liaison to international clients.
Prior to assuming her current role with Congost Plastic, Ms. Trallero filled a number of key positions with other leading companies in the manufacturing industry, including serving as director of Smiling, S.A., director of Sealy Descanso, director of La Compania de Regalos y Promociones and the head of national promotions for PRAC, S.A. During her long career, she has earned a reputation for being a dynamic, results-oriented manufacturing executive with special expertise in international and global marketing.
Ms. Trallero, who entered the plastics industry because her father owned Congost Plastic, attributes her success to her hard work, education and passion for the industry. Over the next five years, she would like to continue to grow the company with the goal of handing over control to her two sons. She would also like to travel to Brussels to support the movement for equal rights for women in business.
Ms. Trallero holds numerous degrees and qualifications, including a master’s degree in women’s studies from the University of Barcelona, a degree from ESADA and a certificate in corporate governance from Instituto de Consejeros-Administradores. An active figure in the field, she holds memberships in professional groups such as the Spanish Association of Directors and the European Women’s Management Development Network. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys volunteering, nature and playing sports.
