USHCC Congratulates Carmen Castillo and Rosa Santana on WBEHF Induction

The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) congratulates Carmen Castillo, President & CEO of SDI International Corp., and Rosa Santana, Founder and CEO of the Santana Group, for being inducted into the WBE Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony took place November 29th in Dallas, Texas. Both Castillo and Santana are members of the USHCC Board of Directors.

“We are delighted to celebrate this honor that has been bestowed upon two of our very own: Carmen Castillo and Rosa Santana. Both are entrepreneurs of exceptional talent and business acumen who have built world class enterprises.” said USHCC President & CEO, Javier Palomarez. “Our association and constituents value the leadership and counsel of these trailblazers, and are tremendously proud of both Carmen and Rosa for this well-deserved accolade.”

The WBE Hall of Fame is a nonprofit organization launched in 2009 to recognize the contributions of women entrepreneurs in their communities, as well as their accomplishments within their industries. Through a network of women’s business development organizations, corporate and government advocates and women-owned enterprises, the WBEHF spotlights best practices and insights as women create businesses that help build a stronger economy.

USHCC Chairman Don Salazar says about these two outstanding women business owners: “I witnessed first-hand the character and strategic thinking displayed by both of these American business leaders.  It is clear to all of us who have the privilege of knowing them, that their success in the world of business is hard-earned and well-deserved. We at the USHCC send our heartfelt congratulations to both Carmen and Rosa for this distinction.”

“It truly is an honor to have been recognized by the WBE Hall of Fame,” said Carmen Castillo, President & CEO of SDI International Corp. “Of course, this could not have been possible without the hard work and support of the SDI International team. I thank them for all that they have done, and I thank the WBEHF for recognizing our company. It is my hope that more Latinas are recognized, so that young women can grow up seeing examples of success in their community as a matter of course.”
